👀❤ My favourite musical instrument is piano. The piano is a stringed keyboard instrument in which the strings are struck by wooden hammers that are coasted with a softer material. It is played using a keyboard which is a row of keys that the performer presses down or strikes with the finger and thumbs of both hands to cause the hammers to strike the strings❤👀.

❤🎹The word piano is a shortened form of pianoforte. It was invented in Italy by Bartolomeo Cristofori around the year 1700. The Italian musical terms piano and forte indicate soft and loud respectively🎹❤.

❤🎹Most modern pianos have a row of 88 black and white keys. 52 white keys for the notes of the C major scale ( C D E F G A B) and 36 shorter black keys which are raised above the white keys and set further back on the keyboard. This means that the piano can play 88 different pitches. The black keys for the accidentals (F# / Gb,   G# / Ab,   A#/ Bb,   C# / Db,   D# / Eb) which are needed to play in all twelve keys🎹❤.

❤There are various types of pianos🎹,

              1. Grand piano - In Grand pianos the frame and strings are horizontal with the strings extending away from the keyboard. 

              2. Upright piano -  Upright piano also called vertical pianos are more compact due to the vertical structure of the frame and strings.

               3. Toy piano - In toy piano Introduced in the 19th century. It is a small piano. 

               4. Silent piano - Silent piano is an  acoustic piano having an option to silence the strings by means of an interposing hammer bar.

               5. Pedal piano - The pedal piano is a rare type of piano that has a pedal keyboard at the base designed to be played by the feet.

               6. Mini piano -  Mini piano is an instrument patented by the Brasted brothers of the Eavestaff Ltd.


                7. Electric piano - Electric piano are non acoustic. They do not have strings, tines or hammers. But are a type of analog synthesizer that simulates or imitates piano sound using oscillators and filters that synthesize the sound of an acoustic piano.

                  8. Hybrid instrument - In the 2000s some pianos include an acoustic grand piano or upright piano combined with MIDI electronic features.
